ESOLVE Final Conference 24-25 November 2014 – Budapest

Hereby we invite you to the Final Conference of the E-SOLVE project that will take place in Budapest on 24-25th November, 2014 in the central building of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (Bld K. 1st floor room 95., 1-3 Műegyetem rakpart, 1111 Budapest).

The main purpose of the final conference is to demonstrate the results of the project and the exploitation of the results. Significant emphasis is placed on the impact of EU co-financed projects and on the concrete plans for ensuring the dissemination of their results. These results (i.e. products, methods, experiences and policy recommendations) and the overall experiences gained by each initiative should be made available to the widest possible audience to learn from.

On the occasion of the closure of our project, similarly to the summer camp organised in August, we have invited experts and several stakeholders of the field of distance and e-learning to present their recent research or their case first hand to the participants. The conference will be two days long, its main topics are the above mentioned project and research results and their possible exploitation and presentation of interesting VET solutions. The primary target audiences of the event are:

–    Coordinators of VET-related distance and e-learning projects,

–    Developers of e-learning and traditional learning methods and materials,

–    Vocational education and training experts,

–    IT practitioners and

–    E-learning content developers.

One of the major outcomes of the E-SOLVE project is a collection of 50 quality evaluated good practises, some of which will be presented during the event.

The conference provides an excellent opportunity to bring together all different stakeholders of the VET field, distance and e-learning providers and get acquainted with the best solutions and latest scientific research.

Registration to the event is free but compulsory. To secure your place, please submit the online registration form available at http://tinyurl.com/ESOLVE-FinConf.

Welcome to the E-SOLVE project website!

E-SOLVE aims at distilling knowledge on LdV projects dealing with e-learning, categorizing them according to several aspects, selecting sectoral good-practices and disseminating them among VET stakeholders throughout Europe. Our focus will be on solutions that could be utilised in white-collar education and training.

The E-SOLVE-consortium includes universities and e-learning associations from four European countries. University of Pannonia, Hungary will act as the project co-ordinator. The project has been funded through the support of the European Comission’s Lifelong Learning Programme. The E-SOLVE project started 1 October 2013 and will last for 12 months.

The target group and the beneficiaries of the project will be (i) e-learning providers in VET and indirectly their students/trainees, and enterprises they are employed, and (ii) IT developers and (iii) policy makers. In order to meet the changing needs and behaviours of their students/adult learners, vocational education and training providers need to get acquainted with the latest innovative ICT based contents, services, pedagogies and practices for lifelong learning. Hundreds of good solutions were funded with the financial contribution of the Lifelong Learning Program. VET providers need to be guided through this large selection of projects and assisted in finding the one that suits their activities the best. Our other target group are the development organisations that are providing the IT background and other, creative elements for the e-learning programmes. Providing them a virtual expo would ease not only their promotional activities but also market research, as they could benchmark their products. Creating a healthy competition among such service providers would also enhance the quality of education and training.

As a result of E-SOLVE project, stakeholders will be provided with a booklet including the description of 50 selected best practices. We organize a 4-day summer camp for VET and IT experts to discuss the future possibilities in e-learning developments. Int he final phase of the project, E-SOLVE will summarise the results of the projects at an international conference.
